Residential 12 Step Programs

Twelve step programs use the principals of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) as the “umbrella” for their treatment model. Clients work through the 12 steps through psychoeducational and process groups. There are several different types of 12 step programs, with varying levels of structure and support, from more restrictive settings, which are locked or are in remote locations, all the way to traditional boarding schools with a 12-step component for those who need it.

Length of stay is typically one to two years.
